A Conversation with Marco D'Agostini

Heritage Vancouver welcomes Marco D’Agostini, the City of Vancouver’s new Senior Heritage Planner, to our April meeting at the Vancouver Museum. We are thrilled to have Marco back as a Heritage Planner after ten years in a variety of capacities with the city, including the planner responsible for the Gastown Heritage Management Plan. Marco will share some of the Heritage groups upcoming priorities and welcomes your questions and comments. The evening is an opportunity to participate with Marco in a conversation on an array of current heritage interests.

An Evening at Maxine’s Hideaway (former Balthazar)

Join Heritage Vancouver for an evening of history, myths and Broadway Burlesque at Maxine’s Hideaway (formerly Maxine’s beauty school). The new manager, Mark Senner takes you on a tour of the restaurant including the basement and second floor and titillates you with tales of murder, intrigue and famous visitors. After the tour enjoy a talk, “Maxine’s Myths, Reality & Architecture” in the Bordello room with Heritage Vancouver President, Don Luxton and Mark Senner. Plan to stay for Leigh Torlage’s famous, “Candy Girls Cabaret Dinner Show”.

Because seating is limited for the dinner show, make reservations with Maxine’s Hideaway 604 689 8822 by May 3 (let them know you are with Heritage Vancouver).
